The remake of <i>The Getaway</i> was OK because of Kim Basinger's boobies and Jennifer Tilly's but it's mediocre. While it is an accessible Peckinpah film i...Agreed! While it is an accessible Peckinpah film it manages to retain his identity. Yeah, the violence may not be as bloody but you still feel every shotgun blast and every gunshot. I also dig how he populates the film with unrepetent lowlifes. This is one of my fave McQueen performances - he's so cool in this one and I wish he had done more films with Peckinpah. Their team-up on JUNIOR BONNER is very underrated.
